IF A BRICK IS ABOUT TO DROP AND KILL A BABY, DO I GET A MORAL IMPERATIVE TO SAVE AND HOW?

Assume moral imperatives are real.

Assume God wants the baby to be brought to Heaven by dying from the injury.

Or assume the baby deserves to be destroyed for it is a demon incarnate or the incarnation of an evil person with bad karma.

Major Premise: Moral imperatives arise whenever an innocent being faces preventable harm.

Minor Premise: A baby is about to suffer preventable harm from a falling brick.

Conclusion: Therefore, there is a moral imperative to prevent the baby’s suffering, regardless of divine or religious command.

Major Premise: Whenever a being faces preventable harm, there is a moral imperative to help.

Minor Premise: A baby is about to be harmed by a falling brick.

Conclusion: Therefore, there is a moral imperative to help the baby—regardless of whether I act selfishly or for self-approval.

This shows that the event matters more than my soul, my virtue, my intention or my God. Moral imperatives come from events not God. Events and the potential for harm ground morality - assuming morality is objective.
