Mind-bending theology thought experiment for the day...
The doctrine of Transubstantiation says that when you eat a tiny piece of the Communion wafer, you are actually receiving the entirety of Jesus - Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. He isn't divided into percentages.
So here is the "What If":
If Jesus had bled into a cup during the Last Supper and transubstantiated his own actual physical blood, drinking a single drop of it would still mean you consumed 100% of him. Under theological logic (a concept called "concomitance"), you cannot split Christ into fractions. A drop of blood contains the whole divine reality.
Essentially, the physical starting
material doesn't change the spiritual math.
The doctrine tacitly
honours cannibalism. Assuming it would not be a sin, then Jesus would
have the right to get you to swallow a hair of his head or some skin.
And it is dishonest how the Church will not say that the wafer can be
called the penis of Jesus or his buttocks - if there are no percentages that
is indeed the case.
